Cookie Policy
Draft — June 2026 — pending legal review
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. We use a strict opt-in approach: only technically necessary cookies are set by default, while every optional category stays off until you enable it in the cookie banner or via "Cookie preferences" in the footer.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the website to function and cannot be disabled:
- laravel_session — keeps your browsing session (e.g. form state); expires after 2 hours.
- XSRF-TOKEN — protects forms against cross-site request forgery; expires after 2 hours.
- locale — stores your explicit language choice (EN/IT); expires after 1 year.
- locale_suggested — remembers that the one-time language suggestion already happened, so you are never redirected twice; expires after 1 year.
- cc_cookie — stores your cookie consent choices; expires after 6 months.
3. Analytics cookies (opt-in)
Set only after you accept the analytics category. We use Google Analytics 4 through Google Consent Mode v2 — with consent denied (the default), no analytics cookies are set and no measurement requests are sent.
- _ga — distinguishes visitors; expires after 2 years.
- _ga_* — keeps session state for Google Analytics 4; expires after 2 years.
Provider: Google Ireland Ltd. See the Privacy Policy for details on the processing.
4. reCAPTCHA (contact page only)
The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which we treat as security-essential: it is loaded only on the contact page and may set Google cookies (such as _GRECAPTCHA, expiring after 6 months) used solely for abuse prevention.
This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
5. Google Maps (click-to-load)
The map on the contact page is embedded from Google Maps only after you press "Load map". Until then, no request is sent to Google and no Google cookies are set. Once loaded, Google may set its own cookies under its privacy policy.
6. Managing your preferences
You can review or change your choices at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the website (for example, the contact form).
